Amy Moll, L.Ac. is the founder of Healing Response Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine.

Amy started her own business, Healing Response Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine at the age of 25 after completing a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine magna cum lauda from the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Bloomington, Minnesota. What began as a solo acupuncture practice is now a thriving interdisciplinary clinic with 4 acupuncturists and 2 locations in Bend and Sisters.
Amy utilizes many different tools and techniques in her Chinese medicine practice that include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Craniosacral therapy, kinesiotaping, mud packing, and Quantum Reflex Analysis for nutritional support.
In her free time Amy enjoys martial arts, mountain biking, snowboarding, skate skiing, trail running, yoga, cooking and playing with the clinic mascot, Qibo.

Rachel Pearce, L.Ac.

Rachel joined the team at Healing Response soon after returning from an extended stay overseas. Her travels took her to China where Rachel studied and practiced in hospitals alongside Chinese doctors of Oriental Medicine. This opportunity expanded her knowledge and experience as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. From China Rachel traveled to Nepal where she worked as a volunteer acupuncturist with the Acupuncture Relief Project. While in Nepal she worked 6 days a week seeing 20 patients a day. She had the opportunity to help people suffering with pain, asthma, digestive problems, eye disorders, insomnia, and stroke.
Rachel has been involved with competitive sports her whole life, including, figure skating, rugby, roller derby, and snowboarding. She understands the demands it takes on the mind and body. She enjoys working with athletes to keep them in top physical health, and assisting in helping the body recover quickly should an injury occur.
Rachel earned her Masters of Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland. She is a licensed acupuncturist with the Oregon Medical Board and a Diplomat of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Ileana Bourland, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., Dipl. C.H.

Ileana received her degree of Master of Science in Oriental Medicine in 2000 from the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Austin, Texas. Her post-graduate studies include an internship at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanjing, Jiangsu in China and she studied Ayurveda and Ayurvedic massage in Kovalam, Kerala in southern India. She worked for five years apprenticing with her mentor, Dr Bindi Zhu, Ph.D., M.D., following her studies abroad and while starting her own practice in Austin, Texas. She has been in practice for eleven years. She holds licenses to perform acupuncture from the state medical boards of Oregon and Texas and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a Diplomate in both Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Ileana joins the team at Healing Response with the intention of empowering people with the freedom to thrive. She assists people on their healing journey with acupuncture, acupressure, laser therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, Ayurveda, aromatherapy, nutrition, and NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques). She focuses on patient education in self-care techniques and the daily aspects of healthy living, as well as appropriate interventions for today and the long-term.

Almine Barton L.Ac., M.Ac.O.M., C.F.T.

From India to the Amazon, from Mayan villages to the snow capped Andes, Almine Barton L.Ac., M.Ac.O.M., C.F.T., has journeyed to remote villages around the world to study nutrition, healing and holistic medicine with some of the most well-respected teachers in these fields. This field research — combined with her extensive education and advanced training — has led to her remarkably strong track-record of successfully treating patients with customized holistic approaches.

Almine Barton, L.Ac., M.Ac.O.M., C.F.T. joins the Healing Response Acupuncture team with extensive experience. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Anthropology from Marylhurst University, completing 4 years of extensive medical field research in India, Peru, Central America, Europe, and the Amazon.
She then proceeded to complete a one-year medical cadaver dissection program at Portland State University, before entering into a 4-year Master’s degree program in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
After completing over 3,000 hours of advanced academic study and a one-year patient internship, under the auspices of Chinese physicians, Almine began her practice in Portland, specializing in gastrointestinal disorders and Sports Medicine.
Almine has also received advanced education and training at the Acoustical Brain Research Institute, researching the effects sound has on brain wave patterns, under the tutelage of Tom Kenyan, M.A., author of “Brain States.”
Certified by the International Sports Sciences Association in personal fitness training, Almine blends the best of western physiology and bio-mechanics, with centuries old eastern martial arts protocols for athletic enhancement and injury rehabilitation.
Almine is a “Schwinn™” indoor cycling instructor, has taught mat (and aquatic) Pilates, water aerobics, rebounding, “CARDIOLATES™,” Boot Camp Circuit Training, various forms of dance, and Interval Drill classes, throughout Portland and Bend, OR. She’s also certified in “Moms In Motion™” to work with pre- and post-partum fitness clients.
Almine has taught nutrition, herbal medicine, kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, Oriental medical practices, sports physiology and personal training at the college-level for Portland Community College, the Australasian College of Health Sciences, Everest College, the Sage School of Massage and Portland State University.
